Who are we?
We are a team of animal lovers whose ultimate goal is to help other pet owners avoid pet insurance and pet health products that are not as good as they say they are.
We do the in-depth work of researching pet insurance companies and pet health products so you don’t have to.
We are independent from all companies mentioned onsite and we don’t accept free products in exchange for glowing reviews.
Instead, we report our own findings so you can hopefully make a more informed decision.
Sometimes we find pet products we really don’t like and other times we uncover products we didn’t know we needed in our (pets’) lives.

Why should you trust us?
- We are a team of independent reviewers
If you’re tired of reading 5-star review after 5-star review just to feel you’re being sold to, then ProtectMyPaws is the place for you. We don’t accept freebies and gifts sent by manufacturers and pet companies in exchange for a 100% positive review.
- We love our pets as much as you love yours
We have grown up with cats, dogs, rabbits, goldfish, hamsters, parrotts, tortoises, angelfish, iguanas, guinea pigs, corn snakes, parakeets, gerbils, bearded dragons, swordtails, mice, ferrets, horses… We care about our pets as much as we care about the rest of our human family, so we would never recommend something we wouldn’t feel comfortable buying ourselves.
- We have zero problem saying a product sucks
We don’t care if saying something is bad means we will lose our affiliate commission. We know money doesn’t grow on trees and we would rather you buy something that will be the best option for what you’re looking for because, in the long run, that’s the only way our readers will trust ProtectMyPaws.
- We look out for fake reviews
We don’t get caught up in the hype of a new company with a hefty marketing budget that manages to get their product plastered everywhere you look. We also don’t direct our readers to product listings packed with fake reviews (hello Amazon!) thanks to our data analysts who help us uncover fake review activity.
